Being aligned...

To be aligned can mean several things…
✨You can be aligned in your mind and body - can you focus on your movement and be with your body during movement as a process or do you work out of alignment thinking about anything (time travelling to the past and future, comparison, distracted by music (but not in a helpful way) basically putting your brain elsewhere instead of in a place where your brain can help your body achieve the movement?
✨You can be beautifully aligned standing still, but then when you move you fall out of alignment - that’s not quite being aligned!
✨You can be aligned during movement by understanding what something called dynamic alignment - that’s a skill to be learnt and an understanding of the subtle ways our bodies adjust during movement to be efficient and keep us tension free
✨It’s amazing what your body can achieve when it is aligned and how much easier things become and how better you feel! ✨
